Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
My father has two waives. The older one has two children, me AJIT KUMAR ( 31 Yrs )and my sister ANJU KUMARI (25 yrs) and the elder has three children, two sons and a daughter. My father does not live with us and not give any monthly expense for us since last 20 years. We both are unmarried and want compensation money. What we have to do for it ?

Your sister may claim maintenance but you are entitled a share only in ancestral property, if any.

Dear Ajit Kumar,
No, you and your sister are both financially independent adults and you do not have any right for compensation from your father, simply because he has two wives.
