Dear Sir / Madam,

The simple remedy if a party does not provide "C" form for availing concessional rate of sale, you have to issue the party a Debit Note for the differential between the full rate and the concessional rate of tax. For example, if the total value of goods sold were Rs. 1,00,000 and the normal VAT thereon is 12% and the concessional rate of VAT against "C" form was 4% you will issue a Debit Note for recovery of the differential 8% VAT to the Party. If the party has left the country two years back, you should inform the Assessing Office handling your VAT assessment accordingly.
