Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pakistan

i filed suit aginst local department .local department filed written statement.evidence from plaintiffs has been written down but no cross examination take place. during adjurnment for cross examination one of plaintiffs died. i filed muramma suit but after 4 adjurnments defendent didnt file written statement.judge adjurn for exparte evidence.
what will be the process on next date because evidence from plaintiffs have been already written down

The defendant side can move against ex party proceeding otherwise court shall ask to plaintiff side for final arguments.
