Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
i have a flat in Hyderabad in which the previous tenet did not pay the previous months rent and apartment maintenance however we we requested them many times to pay the rent by which they did not have any concern. we came to know that they are silently shifting the luggage with out intimation. i have locked up the premisis and with their property and which was left out with some 20 % of gain from rent. i requested them to pay the amount and take their property . they refusd to do so and later when i enquired about the maintance from apatment thy told us they did not pay the mainainance for few months which they did not inform us . now they are creating a problem for our current tenant to pay the dues which they treten to deactivate the services like powe and water . please sugest me what to do.to gain amount from them.

Dear Sir / Madam,
If the total rent and maintenance recovery amount from your previous tenant is less than the Security Deposit they have given you, at the time of entering into the Agreement for Leave and License (ALL), you remain liable to return their belongings and the net amount after all adjustments to be refunded back to them. No doubt, the previous tenant has no "locus standi" to ask your present tenant to pay the dues. For your safety, you may warn the tenant against dealing with your present tenant, informing the previous tenant that you be forced to report the matter to the Police.
