Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

If four or five friend (who are engaged in different segment like business ,student ,pvt. job.).every day they meet in a tea stall for gosip and sharing their ideas,without disturbing any one.the purppose is to only meet in a particular place.suddenly a police van came they hit on some friends and warn them to not present again here.is it legal ?how can we say that we are freedom??????even none of our friend are not engaged in any criminal activity,without asking any thing they always threthen to went to police station .is ther any law or provision by which we can go through.kindly suggest if any.they use their right in wrong way and pressure the youngest who are youngester.

you can make a complain about this incidence to the senior police official. you have a right to meet at a particular place provided your presence is not objected by anyone and you are not creating a nuiosance.Freedom comes with responsiblity. If you are not at fault you make a complaint.
