My friend is being forced by her parents to get married against her wish. They are threatening to ruin her career if she fails to follow their wishes. She is an adult over 25 and economically interdependent. What legal recourse can she seek to win her liberty to live alone?

Your friend may approach the women's cell or the Protection Officer under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. She can file a case under the Domestic violence Act as well.
