Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
if my friend is wanted to adopte me.....both we are 18+ but he is younger than me, why he cant adopt me....????
and in which section of indian law , it is discribed...????

Dear Sir / Madam,
Section 9 of the Hindu Adoption & Maintenance Act, 1956 clearly reads :
9. Persons capable of giving in adoption -
- (1) No person except the father or mother or the guardian of a child shall have the capacity to give the child in adoption.
