Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

My Friend is working in engineering college as Assistant Professor. She has been selected through the Shivaji university selection process. Noe she is on probation of two years and is pregnant. Is she eligible for fully paid maternity leave of 180 days?

will the probation period increased by that period?

you need to check the rules. however, to my mind, she is eligible for pregnancy leave.

Dear Sir / Madam,

To the best of my knowledge, any employee during the period of probation on maternity leave is entitled to 60 days paid maternity leave only. Any excess leave taken over and above 60 days will be leave without pay. Whether the probation period will be extended further by the total maternity period of leave, depends on the Management policy.
