Dear Sir / Madam,
Any person of sound mind can remain a witness on any deed. It is advisable that the witness is not a family member or relative to avoid a possibility of the person being influenced into remaining as a witness.
Regards,
A relative could be a witness but it is advisable that try to have an independent witness as in case there is a future litigation then the relative may be deemed to be an interested witness. You may drop in a detailed query at [email protected]
