Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
My grandmother(nani) had only one issue that was my mother. My mother got married but was always attached to her and my nani built a house on her name and gave her to live with her sons in a city.Later my Nani transferred the House to my mother's name through a registered hibbanama.
After her death ,my Nana's nephews got their name registered on few landed properties on the base of a fake adoption deed which were not in our knowledge. On that basis of Fake Godinama he got his name registered on the account of that house in municipal corporation, though we objected but he managed by source and probably heavy bribe to get it done.
we challenged that on civil court but the matter is yet pending,by the time my mother died..they are harassing us and trying to take possession.
Can we go for some criminal proceedings, like lodging a complain for their forgery which declares that my nani had not any issue and she took him adopted.
please guide me.

Dear Rajeev,
Your mother was the absolute owner of the property and if your mother has left behind a Will, you should immediately initiate proceedings and complete the process to legally get the property transferred in the name of the beneficiary(ies) named in your mother's Will. Lodging of an FIR in the Police in case of constant harassment by relatives since the matter is still subjudice in the civil Court is also recommended.
