Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
A lady dies after inheriting her husbands property and there is no legal heir to claim the property and distant relatives of the lady do not want to claim the property. Property includes land and building and a partnership business of manufacturing (mill). Moveable property includes gold and silver and loans and advance, cash and bank balance worth around 2 crores.
Can the person who was their partner in business retain all these properties for themselves?
I have general belief that such property goes to the government. If it is correct then give the names of the respective authorities to whom this matter should be reported by general public.
The lady's husband came to the family in adoption. Can family members of the husbands original family who gave their son in adoption claim any of the property, after the property was passed to the lady after her husbands death?
Husbands original family had many members- not claiming anything.
