Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
My late father has some property in west Bengal. He died on July 2004 without any will. The property is still on my fathers name. We are two brothers and two married sisters. As i am married daughter what will be the share of mine and my mother and sister. Do the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005 applicable for us?

Dear Madam,
With the demise of your father, the ownership of the property vests in your mother. You should complete the necessary formalities for transfer of the title of the property in the name of your mother.
Regards,
