I am a lawyer of wife my question is based on stridhan
my client file a complain u/s 498a to mahila police station and her husbund gave all articles of stridhan to my client in presence of police station opfficer and than they were produced before lerned magistrate for bail after few months husbund of my client file a civil suit for recovery of article given as stridhan in presence of police station officer with plea that that was given because of police preassure is this kind of suit maintable can we challenge maintenibility under cpc order 7- r-11

Dear Sir / Madam,
"Streedhan" or "rukhvat" as per the Hindu Marriage Act refers to all the belongings of the bride which she carries with her to her husband's house. The civil suit filed by the husband for recovery of the streedhan can be challenged and will never sustain in the eyes of law.
