Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

I want to take a legal advice regarding a issue. My brother got hit by a boy in the right eye by the compass in the school in the presence of a teacher . Due to which his eye is completely damaged. We went to the principle for complaining about the carelessness of the staff. But they refused to accept their fault and refused to talk any action. So we consult a lawyer and sent a legal notice against the school including about the serious damage of eye and financial loss too. With this they sent a notice which says it's also fake and nothing happened and we are doing this to take money from the school. Kindly please help us out. They're not willing to accept. Please reply earliest regarding with legal step to take after this...Please help us out. Thanks.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should furnish the Doctor's certificate detailing the line of treatment, approximate recovery period, and the medical expenses incurred by you including consultation, medication, pathology to the school Principal, and insist that it has to be settled either by the school or by the parents of the student who inflicted the wound on your brother.
