Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
I am living as tenant and had a fall ceiling came down due to the bad construction and got lots of goods damaged. I had taken a flat through broker and when he got me a new flat after a month he is again asking for the brokerage for the same ..Please advice

The broker may be entitled to his commission for the efforts made.

In an Agreement for Leave and License, the Licensee takes the premises on as is where is condition. You ought to have checked the interior of the flat before taking it on L&L and having taken the flat, you ought to have stored your goods in a safe place. When you shift from one flat / house to another, since the broker has put in efforts to search the new flat for you to shift into, he / she is entitled to a month's brokerage from you.
