We are occupying a retail shop for last 40 years in a place called jogbani in bihar. Our tent started with 100 per month which is now increased to 2500. The landlord is asking it to increase it by 500% to 12000 per month. Please advice

Dear Sir / Madam,
The landlord-tenant practice has ceased to exist since 1985 giving way to lessor-lessee relationship governed by an Agreement for Leave and License. You should tactfully negotiate the monthly lease charges with the lessor of the retail shop, to avoid the lessor asking you to vacate the shop.
Regards,
