Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
My parents together were joint owners of their flat. After dad passed away in 2013 march, dad's share of the flat was divided in half, half to me and half to mom, me being the only child.. Hence I am 25% owner and mom is 75% owner. The building is to undergo redevelopment. Since I am not living in India, is it ok to retain my 25% share, being a dormant or sleeping owner and can my mom make all necessary decisions and signatures regarding re-development, without me having to interfere as I am not living in the country. is it a law for me to have to sign documents pertaining to re-development since I am 25% owner or she being 75% owner can take decisions without my consent?
how can she make necessary decisions with regards to re development without me having to be a part of it? I want to retain my 25% share and want her to retain her 75% share of the flat

Dear Sir / Madam,
Since it is a case of joint ownership, you signatures signifying your approval to redevelopment will be required on the documents. You should give a letter of authority to your mother validating her to take all decisions on your behalf concerning redevelopment and that you abide by it.
