Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
I purchased a small folding pocket knife, Victorinox Swiss knife. blade length is 3.4 inches. I use it for work like opening parcel and cutting food. Do i need a permit to carry it around everyday? is it legally allowed? Also, Where and how can I apply for a permit for this pocket knife so that I can legally carry it all the time? Please advice.

1) Tt is legal to carry a knife blade under 9" long and 2" wide.
2) Under the Indian Arms Act 1959, you are not allowed to carry "prohibited arms".
Under Bladed weapons, blades longer than 9" or wider than 2" are prohibited arms.
3) It is legal to carry a knife blade length 3.4.
4) But u should not brandish anybody which is a criminal offence.
