Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Respected Sir,
I decided to change my religion and in doing so i want change my name. The problem is that my present name is registered in Birth Certificate,Ration Card,Class X and XII certificates,Aadhar Card,etc. I want to ask that how can i change my name legally and register the same in all residing Documents.

1) The first step in officially changing your name is to file a name change petition in the proper court and pay the filing fee.
2) The person making the request must publish a notice in a local newspaper stating that he or she has filed a name change petition.
