Sir i am a complainant my sister has given my cheques and borrowed hand loan from her friend and not returned the amount but she has filed case against me please suggest me that what should i do (sec 138)

you are not liable as the chapter 17 of the NI Act says that if a cheque is give for the discharge of a legally recoverable debt. You may also drop a detailed query at [email protected]

Dear Sir / Madam,
Unfortunately, the very fact that you have signed the cheques prior to issuing them, signifies your consent thereto. If your sister has forged your signature on the cheques, then you can deny and absolve yourself of the liability in the Court.
