Dear Sir / Madam,
Ultimately ... he / she is the Owner and the shop is their property. You should pay the monthly lease compensation to your Owner as is prevailing for shops in your locality, and convince the Owner that if you are given a slightly bigger shop (15% more area) in the new redeveloped building, you are willing to temporarily relocate to another shop in the nearby vicinity as provided by the Developer, till the building is redeveloped. And you are also willing to negotiate a higher monthly compensation to the Owner thereafter.
Regards,
seek legal opinion in person from a local lawyer.
Thanks and Regards
Adv. Rajiv
