Dear Sir / Madam,
An acknowledgement is a valid evidence of the notice having been served ... it is not binding that the acknowledgement should compulsorily bear the signature of the person on whom the litigation pertains ... it is quite possible that he / she may not have been present at the Office / Shop / Residence where the notice has been served and an employee / assistant / family member might have acknowledged receipt of the notice.
Regards,
