Dear Sir / Madam,
Usually, the Court obtains an acknowledgement for delivery of the summons to the litigant. It is possible that the opponents have delivered the summons into your letter box. But nevertheless, it is advisable to reply to the summons as it is deemed to have been served on you.

the purpose of "service" is to inform you of the proceedings. Once you have received summons, you have been "served".
