Legal Question in Technology Law in India

Few Days before i was working in one travel company and after registration and get reliving letter from them i started my own travel company. My Previous company told me that its illegal. They told me that you not start same domain company at least 6 month. while it is not written any where in my offer letter or reliving letter. Should i stop my business or continue with it.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I see no reason why you should not start your own travel Company no sooner you've been relieved from service by your previous Company. The previous Company cannot put conditions on what you should be or should not be doing in future. That remains your personal choice and decision. Go ahead and work your way ... full fledged.
