Legal Question in Technology Law in India
Dear Sir, I am a music composer. Yesterday, I composed a music tune. I sent the .mp3 file of this music tune to a friend using gmail. If in future, my friend publishes this music file / any other person whom my friend has forwarded my music file to, publishes my music file, without my permission and/or without giving me credit, could I put up a successful legal case against my friend or any other person ? Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir / Madam,
No. Simply because you do not own the copyright of the music tune in your name i.e you have no means to prove that the music is composed by you alone. It is for this reason that music albums have copyrights prior to their public release.
Regards,
