Legal Question in Technology Law in India
Hello Law Guru,
I'm a video blogger on Youtube, and I make videos on many country issues.
I want to ask you whether I could use some peice of footage from BBC or any other digital media like ABC News without asking them? But I'll reference their name in the video, and I'll tell the viewer that they hold the copyright of that particular footage and I don't.
Please, remember that I'm not going download their whole video and upload it again on my channel. I just want to use a bit of their footage to make my video more informative, but a lot of information will be from my own research.
Regards,
Aseem Kukkar

Dear Aseem,
Yes. You can use the video clip or footage so as to make your video more informative and add it to your researched presentation on the net. By doing so, you are not infringing any copyright or patent rights.
