can a practising lawyer do business or be a partner of any firm.

An advocate may be a director in a company and a Partner in a law firm but he cannot be an a executive or managing director in the said company. However if the lawyer is not enrolled as an advocate then there is no bar for him to do any business. You may drop in a detailed query at [email protected]
