Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
Airtel broadband Service - Mental torture by Airtel Lawyer
I have given a cancellation request on 6th Mar 2013 and it has been closed on same day.while giving cancellation, I have cleared the complete due amount. The connection was canceled from 6th Mar 2013. Airtel keep sending me bill for month of Apr 2013 with the amount of Rs.1293.94/-
I have repeatedly getting calls from airtel collection executives and they doesn't bother to listen the reply from me. now getting continuous calls from airtel lawyer from delhi that saying need to pay penalty of Rs.15000 and they are giving mental torture almost everyday from couple of months.
I have my payment list and complaint reference number with the airtel while I have given the cancellation.
is there any way to book a case against airtel as per law ?
please advise.
Thanks

Dear Sir / Madam,
YES. You should lodge a complaint for undue harassment against Airtel officials with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) requesting their intervention to take necessary action against Airtel. The same complaint may also be lodged with the Consumer Forum in your locality.
