Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
Hi, I bought a sofa set for my new home costing around Rs.80000/- from a furniture company. After few months it started deteriorating the material. After 1 and half years the soft leather is now in a pathetic condition with a lit of cracks and some areas have lost fascia and company says they have warranty only for 1 year. Do I stand a chance if I complain through Consumer protection act?
Thank you

Dear Sir / Madam,
NO, it makes absolutely no sense complaining to the Consumer Forum. Instead, you should very politely request the furniture company to redo the sofa at a nominal concessional rate, because their carpenters and upholstery specialists know exactly how it has to be redone.
