Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
A Builder sold a property to us by claiming to be its sole owner in all relevant agreements. However, it was later discovered that the property was also owned by another firm. Would such misrepresentation of a material fact in respect of the property sold to us be viewed as an 'unfair trade practice' as defined under the Consumer Protection Act 1986?

1) No. File FIR with Police for cheating and suit for recovery of money with compensation.
