Can i file a case if someone has taken money from me by lying?
I rented a duplex from a person and a broker was involved in the deal. The rent of the duplex was Rs. 42000 but the broker is taking extra Rs. 3000 per month to his account by saying that it was for the owner's son which is a lie.

yes you can. serve him a legal notice and ask him for the account of the money paid to him.

Dear Sir / Madam,
The broker is cheating you. Tell him / her to immediately return whatever excess he has taken from you, else report the matter to the local Police for quick action.
