Dear Sir / Madam,
The landlord-tenant relationship has ceased to exist since 1985, and has been replaced by the Licensor-Licensee arrangement of entering into an Agreement for Leave and License (ALL) of a fixed time duration ranging from 11 months to 3 years.
You should make it clear to your tenant that they will have to pay the prevailing monthly lease rates of residential property in the locality and its vicinity, or look for alternative accommodation elsewhere and vacate your house.
Regards,
