Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
On the purchase of a new car, the car-dealer in Delhi is charging me Rs 6000 as handling charges over and above the ex-showroom and vehicle registration fees.
I am made to understand that levying such handling charges are not authorized?

Dear Sir / Madam,
You ought to have checked with two or three dealers and compared the total purchase price of the vehicle, and "zeroed" down to the purchase from the dealer offering you the best price. The car dealer does not display cars in his showroom and employ staff therein for free. The dealer is legally justified to recover a portion of the administrative overheads from every sale made.
Regards,
