Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
Respected lawyers,
I live in Bangalore and I have placed an order of purchase with "a furniture shop" for sofa set, center table, side tables, curtelary unit on 9th OCT 2017 and till date they did NOT deliver any of my items nor any of the items are are ready. I have whatsapp logs of the conversations on followups at various time periods.
I feel i got cheated by them as they promised me that they will deliver in 3 weeks from the date of order and now its around 11 weeks passed.
They have charged me on the day of placing the order Rs 40,000 as advance. I have whatsapp photo of my order but not a hard copy. :-(
Kindly suggest me what should i do next..
1. Can i go to police to file a cheating case on them?
2. Can i file a complaint on consumer forum Bangalore to recover the advance paid and also charge the furniture shop for the humiliation they caused me due to this long waiting and the broken commitments by them which made me deeply sad.
Kindly help.

Yes, you can certainly file a consumer complaint. But before that serve a legal notice. That should be sufficient.
