Dear Sir / Madam,
When a purchase is made, the seller and buyer enter into a contract for sale of goods. The price (also called consideration) invoiced by the seller to the buyer and which the buyer agrees to pay to the seller is for the total value of the goods, which have the Maximum Retail Price marked on each unit of the product. So if the seller is selling the goods at a consideration exceeding the MRP, the buyer has an option to sue the seller under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
Regards,
