Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
whether supply of electricity comes under the definition of Consumer Protection Act,1986.
If yes Then,if supply of Electricity is cut down for 5 Minutes and than comes for 5 Minutes due to that am not able to study properly.
so In that case i file COMPLAINANT under Consumer Protection Act,1986 as the case of Deficiency of Service.

Supply of electricity certainly comes under the purview of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
It is hard to believe that your studies are being affected due to power fluctuations, because if your concern is the lighting, you can always study during the daytime. Your complaint will certainly help the power distribution company to enhance their operating efficiency.
