Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Dear sir,

i had a credit card from hdfc bank. the provide me the limit of 2 lac on card (1 lac cash+1 lac purchase). i used both facility. recently in december i had face a serious medical issues and i was medically unfit in job. so i have to resign the job.

after that, i also unable to pay the amount of rs. 140000 to bank against the credit card dues. due to that they terminated my credit card facility and called me to pay the amount. but due to unavailability of jobs and medicaly unfit i unable to pay thme.

after this issue now they targeting my family, relatives, ex-colleagues, ex-companies boss to repay the amount. even many times they visit my ex-company office. the staff already informed them that now i am not continue with them but still they forcing my relatives, colleagues and some facebook friends.

kindly suggest how to deal with them.

Issue a legal notice to the bank calling upon them to stop harassing you and your relative. There is a strict no from Supreme Court against such recovery methods of the bank. If it still harass you, you can lodge a police complaint.
