Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in
A family member, in Delhi, owes me a substantial sum of money (supported by affidavits).
Can you please advise how I can institute proceedings through the court to recover this money.

language on the affidavits need to be looked into if that constitutes a promisory note as contemplated under the negotiable instrument act on the basis of which even a summary suit could be filed for recovery of the money.
