Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

my grandfather took loan from co-oprative society bank ltd. now he is no more and my father also had died .the bank is Asking for payment . and not giving No dues to me is it legal by law?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Yes, the Bank may refuse to give you information regarding the loan, if the Bank has valid reason to doubt your being the sole legal heir.
