Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Hello sir,

This is pranav from hyderabad, we paid money of 40Lakhs to a person and we dont have any evidence in written but one of my friend is there at the time of payment he is only the proof of payment, and we tried to call him daily but he is avoiding our calls and he is filed Insolvency so please guide us is there any way to recover our money

Dear Pranav,

If you have paid the money in cash to the person for purchase of an asset or property and the transaction is still pending and in abeyance, you may request your friend to give a statement to the Police while lodging your complaint with the Police. If you have paid the money by cheque to the person, you should stop payment of the cheque.

40 lakhs mean huge amount.so you had cheques or banking transaction .yes you will be file case recovery of money whether transaction cheques or not. it is civil matter,police dont interference.thank you
