I start paying back aloan from a lender , I made 4 payments and was never issued with a reciept so I stopped am I not supposed to get a reciept for my payments

Hi,

Yes, you should be issued with receipts to prove payments were made. You can also make payment by cheque. I suggest that you request receipts for the four payments or when you make the next payment, ensure that the 4 payments are acknowledged.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should request the lender to issue a Cash receipt iff you have paid back the four installments by cash. However, it is advisable and recommended that repayments to the lender are only made by cheque so that you have valid proof,and for which the lender need not issue you a receipt thereof.
