Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India
I was working in Dubai and I had taken a personal and a car loan which I was paying regularly. When the recession hit that country, I lost my job and my company cancelled my visa and I had to exit the country immediately. I slowly somehow settled back in India. I have a travel ban and legal proceedings against me in UAE. I was being continously followed up by money collection agencies in both India and Dubai and they are threatening to take legal actions and threatening me regarding this. I want to know whether such a money nonpayment issue for an amount taken abroad has a legal stand in India. Will I need to face any legal proceedings in India regarding this.
