Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

I am accused in a fraud cheaque bounce case nor I have signed any document nor I have written the amount. I have blank cheaque in security for 2.5 lakh. Other party himself entered the amount of 5 lakh and bounced the cheaque and registered a case against me. My lawyer suggest me to compromise on the said amount. As there is no way to prove the case fraud. What should I do please suggest me.
