Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Is it allowed to report a crime and put a case on behalf of victim with all the evidences provided by victim, or the victim should directly report the crime and proceed with case.

1) Crime can be reported by anybody if the victim is not coming forward as in rape cases. Police will investigate and record the victim statement.
2) Evidences can also be provided on behalf of the victim to the police.
3) It is preferable to file the case by the victim, as ultimately the prime-evidence lies on victims deposition.
