Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

In Bhopal district court we list a case on dowry law. my sister engagement was held on 2006 and we continue to fulfill duty as girls side.but grooms father said that my son is studying engineering after his graduation marriage was decided.but as his son get graduated and got govt. job in electric dept.he raises his demand drastically.

we already spend so much money on engagement and other formalities in these 4 years. when my father tell then that is very high demand we are unable to fulfill it.they broke the engagement in 2009.

so as it is a clear cheating with us we approached to police but they didn't register a case then we apply private case in district court.

after a struggle for 4 years district court is about to take decision and respected judge find them criminal. but as they know they will be in jail they appeal high court and put stay on case.

The lawyer we appointed for HC is not responding us. its been more then year now that stay is under motion hearing.without any disrespect to good lawyers.i wanna say every lawyer that my parents appointed for genuine case were bought by accused.

Please help me suggest best way to off the stay from HC. we never present our self in HC as we thought our lawyer will handle it but on next listing i m going with my parents plz suggest me what to do in HC without lawyer.

change your lawyer if you are not happy with him. get the file inspected and check the ordersheets you will find the reason for delay. you can move an application for early hearing in the highcourt.
