Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
I had sent an email to a person. The email recipient filed a defamation suit against me though my email was not defamatory at all. I apologized for hurting his sentiments inadvertently but he did not withdraw the case.
I received court summons via email. I am working abroad and cannot attend hearing.
Can I send apology letter by registered post/scanned letter with my signature via email to the court to save travelling costs and quash the case against me?
