Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
I filed a criminal complaint u/s 156(3) for a offence u.s 409, 467, 468 IPC and my complaint was sent to PS with a direction to lodge FIR and investigate the matter and report. The FIR was registered on 01/08/2012 but police did not submitted any report hence I filed an application for status report on 29/08/2013 and police submitted report on 03/08/2013 that they have sent cancellation report on 16/10/2012 while I have not recieved any notice regarding cancellation report. There is not any calcellation report submitted with the court. I do not understand where the cancellation report has been sent. Waht is the proceedings for submitting cancellation report by police. Any notice is to be given to the complainant by the police or court or not. What I can do now?

The cancellation report is filed in the court. You may inspect the court file. If you are not satisfied with the report, you may file your "protest petition".
