Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
My friend (a married man with children) went for watching a movie in a theatre, where he got involved in gaysex with another man. After leaving the theatre, a group of 3 men presenting themselves as police, threatened my friend telling that they will take him to police station for involving in sexual activities and asked for a large sum as bribe and my friend also had to part away with the money to avoid social embarrasement.
He is not sure whether they are policemen or some rogues. Now he wanted to file a police complaint of extortion against the policemen. Please advice whether we can file a complaint against these men for extorting bribe.

yes he should file a police complaint against the persons whether they are police officials or impersonators.
