Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Hi,
I have made an accident on 31-03-2014 at night 9:30 PM.my vehicle is 4 wheeler and other party's is 2 wheeler. One fellow reversed his car suddenly from parking position. To escape from the collision I turned my car to right side. A person was coming on 2 wheeler and dashed my car. On spot they demanded a cheque for settlement. They don't have valid Driving licence. on spot to escape from the location I wrote 5,000 for the margin amount after their insurance claim. but they demanded me for 25,000. I altered the amount to 25,000. On next day I visited the show room to repair the two wheeler. but insurance people did not processed their request as they don't have valid licence. after knowing the reason I requested my bank for STOP payment. After 25 days they presented the cheque to their bank. The cheque get bounced due to stop payment. Will this cheque bounce attract any criminal case or some other case?
I have given the chque to cover margin amount after insurance claim. But as they did not have valid licence documents why should I pay the full amount for repair? Kindly provide me the guidelines. Up to now I did not approach any police and any lawyer. NO FIR filed on accident.
