my husband cheated me, he was a fraud and already had a wife and two children and was not divorced when he married me. i was unaware of this fact when i got married but came to know about this after i gave birth to a child, i suffered a lot but thought nothing can be done and i tried to live with this for the sake of my child, but after that he became more cruel and would beat me up and tortured me. so about 3years ago i left him with my child. but about 2and half year ago he took the child from my home, i filed a police case for my child but nothing happened. now i want him to be punished for ruining my life, what should i do pls help.

You have lots of options:

You can lodge a police complaint u/s 494 IPC of bigamy. You can also lodge a complaint for breach of trust, fraud, cheating and so on. Apart from that you can file a petition for annulment of your marriage which means your marriage will be declared as null and void. You may also file a petition under Domestic Violence Act wherein you can get maintenance and other reliefs.You can also file a petition for divorce and custody of child. For detail contact''
